Korg KDM2 Electronic Metronome

Even though they say "don't mess with the classics," Korg did, and boy did it pay off with the KDM-2 Digital Metronome. The KDM-2 uses an original cylindrical resonator speaker with improved clarity, volume, and tone. With the KDM-2, you can even practice with your metronome muted thanks to LED that provides a visual confirmation of tempo. But that's not all, the KDM-2 has 19 different beat patterns and a longevity of 120 hours.

The KDM-2 has an improved cylindrical resonator speaker with even more powerful sounds so the loudest of instruments will not overpower it. The KDM-2 also has three different sounds to choose from, a cowbell, agogo, and clave. The volume is adjustable and can be connected to a mini-plug earphone using the built-in phone jack. The KDM-2's LEDs provide easy-to read visual displays. The START/STOP switch, both of which blink different colors, provide an unmistakeable tempo indication. The KDM-2 has 19 different beats patterns from basic beats to more comples beats such as the son clave and rumba clave. You can adjust the tempo to you needs using three methods. The Full Step mode allows you to change the tempo in 1 step increments in a range from 30 to 252. Pendulum Mode lets you set the KDM-2 to preset beat patterns, as a on any mechanical metronome. Tap Tempo lets you set the desired tempo. The calibration can be adjusted anywhere from 410Hz to 480Hz.For tuning by ear, the Sound Out function plays reference tones. The KDM-2 plays twelve pitches from C4 to B4. It's easy to access different functions using the Tempo/Calib dial as well as the Step Select switch. The Memory Backup function remembers tempo, beat, calibration, and pitch even when the KDM-2 is turned off. The KDM-2 offers approximately 120 hours of continuous use when used at 120 BPM.
