The LCA120 has three different tuning methods: Focus Tune, Sound Back, and Sound Out. Focus Tune is ideal for precise tuning within a range of +/- 10 cents. Sound Back combines the meter display with a reference tone for tuning. When used with a contact microphone, the speaker produces a reference tone closest to the pitch of your instrument, and displays the difference for easy tuning. The Sound Out function is perfect for tuning more than one instrument simultaneously. This function uses a reference tone in a 4 octave range of C2 to C6.
You can also adjust the pitch of major thirds and minor thirds relative to equal tempered pitches for creating beautiful harmonies.
You can also program your own temperament by specifying the desired pitch of each note and recalling frequently used temperaments.
The Sound Level Meter displays your volume graphically and numerically for practice maintaining constant volume, or fluctuating volume.
The Memory Backup function maintains your settings even when the LCA120 is off or batteries are changed.
