The TM-40 can be used as a metronome and tuner independently, or simultaneously, so no matter what you need, the TM-40 has the perfect setting for it. And do not forget about the exceptional features of the TM-40, like a range of C1 (32.70Hz) to C8 (4186.01Hz), or thirteen types of rhythms spanning from 0 to 7 beats.

The Korg TM-40 has an LCD-type needle and LED lights that indicate a stray from pitch or blink to demonstrate tempo, making this a very visual machine. The TM-40 can be used to properly pitch almost any instrument, including keyboards, winds, and strings, and thanks to a built-in high sensitivity mic, even guitars and ukuleles. The Sound Out function works as a built-in reference tuning pitch for tuning by ear, or ear training. The calibration can be adjusted in 1 Hz steps anywhere from 410 to 480 Hz, so tuning to practically any song is a snap.There is no need to worry about losing your settings either, since the Tm-40 saves your own personal settings, even when turned off. The TM-40 can be adjusted to pure major or minor thirds intervals, which is ideal for brass bands, orchestras, wind instruments, vocals, and a capella practice. As a metronome, the TM-40's Beat Mode allows you to chose from an array of preset tempos and time signatures. In Tap mode, you can select your own tempo tofit your specific needs. The TM-40 has thirteen rhythms including doublets, triplets, and quadruplets. When used soley as a metronome, the TM-40 also has triplets and quadruplets with the center beat omitted. With a wide range of rhythms and adjustable volume, the TM-40 is perfect for any practice, anywhere. The TM-40 has Memory Backup for saving tempo, beat, calibration and reference pitch. The Auto Off feature turns off the Tm-40 after 20 minutes with out use for a longer battery life.
